The Best NEW Poets has just been mailed, and our friend and happy violinist, Anna Katarina Magdalena Nutella Netrebko Rose is among them!

I’ve read her poems.

They are rich.

Images that evoke the “ahh” of recognition, and some that remind of a loftier scholarship, innumerable references to  a breadth of experience unknown to past generations. In short, they’re good.

The girl had guts; I have to hand it to her. She played violin on the side, and wrote in earnest. Now, she’s doing both – and, barely even begun to live.

Congratulations, Anna Rose Welch. We’re so proud to know and read you.
