Old Goodbyes.

Those dripping pearls

in their petrified shells

honed by the self-congratulated

Words, wisened,

for the call to arms: “Let it go..”

in the Battle of Moving On

suddenly summoned

to fill the void

created by New Hellos.

. . . .

Is she blonde, this time

peaking forties

three children and

no job?

Ah. That’s ripe.

. . . .

Old Goodbyes are brunettes

usually self-employed.
